An index, not a launch.

We don't launch. We keep an index. A project earns its number by surviving daily use.

A launch is a promise made before the work has met an ordinary Tuesday. Pick a date and the work starts serving the date instead of the person using it. We stopped setting dates. The relief was immediate.

The index has one rule: a project appears when it earns its place, and it leaves when it stops. Every entry knows what would remove it. Chronicle is the rule working in public. The idea held up, the first build didn't, so its entry says rebuilding, from the foundation. No eulogy, no spin. That's the same promise Chronicle makes about the news, so it had better apply to the app.

Guitar4mp is the other half of the proof. It's finished, submitted, and sitting in Apple's review queue, and the index still says so instead of calling it launched. It gets its number the day you can use it.

This reorders what done means. On a launch calendar, done means the clock ran out. In an index, done means good enough to keep. Use is the editor.
